About Peter Stuart
Owner, Myofascial Release Therapist, Lead Instructor
Since graduating from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 1993, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting those living with chronic pain and dysfunction. With over 30,000 hours of clinical experience, much of it focused on a gentle, intuitive approach to myofascial release, I’ve developed a whole-person treatment philosophy rooted in empathy, education, and effectiveness.
Early in my career, while working at Dr. Stuart Donaldson’s chronic pain research and treatment facility in Calgary, Alberta, I was introduced to light-touch myofascial techniques. Frustrated by the limited outcomes I was seeing with more traditional methods; this approach opened a new path forward. and the results were immediate and transformative. Since then, I’ve studied fascia and myofascial therapy with leading researchers and clinicians, refining my methods and deepening my understanding of the body’s innate capacity to heal.
Over the years, I’ve come to realize that I’m not just treating injuries or areas of dysfunction. I’m working with the whole being. Like many massage therapists, I’ve had my own journey through physical, emotional, and psychological healing. These lived experiences continue to shape my empathetic and heart-centered approach to care.
For more than 30 years, I’ve also worked as an educator, teaching anatomy, physiology, and myofascial release. I believe education is at the heart of healing – not only for therapists, but for patients as well. I make it a priority to ensure that every patient understands what they’re experiencing, and how we can work together to meet their goals.
This gentle, compassionate approach offers hope to those who feel they’ve exhausted their options. I’m deeply grateful for the many patients whose lives have been changed through this work, and they continue to inspire me every day.
I look forward to sharing my insights and skills with you so that you may also change the lives of your patients, with a gentle and heart-centred approach.
